MAGNETIC PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
HOT WATER BOILER APPLICATION
Initial Evaluation of Magnetic Performance
Note: Only used to evaluate the initial impact of energizers on the system, to insure of correct installation & to monitor the emissions.
- Adjustment of the boiler to the optimum efficiency (as recommended by manufacturer or boiler maintenance specialist);
- Monitoring stack temperature, O2 and CO2 levels, boiler efficiency and emissions before installation of the energizers;
- Installation of magnets on gas line, water return line and air line (optional);
- Monitoring stack temperature, O2 and CO2 levels, boiler efficiency and emissions after installation of the energizers;
- Comparison of the monitored data before & after installation.
Note: Any increase of stack temperature and CO2 level and decrease of O2 level & emissions shows the improvement.
Procedure of Periodic Evaluation
Note: Regular procedure to evaluate the impact of energizers on the system based on gas invoices and degree days figures reported by Environment Canada for the region.
- Adjustment of the boiler to the optimum efficiency (as recommended by manufacturer or boiler maintenance specialist);
- Installation of energizers on gas line, water return line and air line (optional);
- Re-adjustment of the boiler 4-6 weeks after installation (due to stabilisation period of energizers);
- Estimation of average monthly gas consumption based on monitored gas consumption (Gas invoices or gas meter readings) and reported Degree Days by Environment Canada for the region;
- Comparison of the data of the same period before & after installation.
Note: Any decrease of average gas consumption (M3/DD) shows the percentage of improvement.
Procedure of Precise Evaluation
Note: Precise procedure is used to study the impact of magnets on the system based on heat balance equations.
- Adjustment of the boiler to the optimum efficiency (as recommended by manufacturer or boiler maintenance specialist);
- Monitoring temperatures of water in & out, water flow rate and gas consumption before installation (every 5-10 minutes for minimum period of one week);
- Installation of energizers on gas line, water return line and air line (optional);
- Monitoring temperatures of water in & out, water flow rate and gas consumption after installation (every 5-10 minutes for minimum period of one week);
- Calculation of energy input, energy output & heating efficiency based on monitored data before & after installation;
- Comparison of the calculated data before & after installation.
Note: Any increase of heating efficiency shows the improvement.
